A couple of radioshows/podcasts I thoroughly enjoyed in 2008…
United Vibes – Sundays 22-0h CET on Sub FM: DJ Vibezin and Amen-Ra from north London mixing up classic 2-step-tunes with productions from the LHF-camp, a filthy soundscape between 2-step, percussive dubstep, jungle and filmsamples

Electronic Explorations: Rob Booth’s weekly audio-feature dedicated to Dubstep, Minimal, IDM, Techno and advanced electronica, featuring an impressive list of guests
Mary Anne Hobbs – Wednesdays 3-5h CET on BBC Radio 1: the experimental radioshow, bass-heavy music from Dubstep over Techno and Electronic to HipHop

On November 7th, 2008 eleven containers with atomic waste were delivered from the french plutonium reactor in La Hague to the temporary disposal site in Gorleben, Germany. Several direct actions of around 16.000 protesters have managed to delay the transport for more than 20 hours. Following recent attempts by the lobby for nuclear power in the course of the debate on clima-change as well as recently uncovered accidents such as the case of the disposal site Asse II in Germany, have been responsible for the topic returning on top of the agenda of radical leftists, environmental activists and many people in the region alike.
To be honest, I haven’t very enthusiastic about many live-performances that I’ve come across recently. However, I’ve seen a few concerts recently, that really grabbed my attention. Here are three of them: Atom TM using an old Akai MPC with a Tenori-on, Goth-Trad using an incredible effect-chain on his tracks and last not least Radak, employing a Nord Modular to generate his sounds.
